Overview of Program Initiatives |

HDANJ collaborates with the following state departments and private organizations to move the Latino community forward. Department of Community Affairs – Center for Hispanic Policy, Research and Development who provides support to improve the capacity and programs of HDANJ's 32 member agencies directly and other Hispanic agencies indirectly and to continue the fiscal capacity project. These two programs includes maintaining regular communication with its members, conducting research on areas key to its advocacy, building capacity through training, administrative support, staff training grants, and workshops for board members and program staff on priorities identified in our strategic plan. HDANJ will provide member agencies fiscal technical assistance to address program expansion and improve strategic planning for members. Department of Labor and Workforce Development who has created a partnership with the Department of Labor and Workforce Development (LWD) to fully integrate the network of HDANJ community-based organizations and agencies in order to connect their constituency and to expand the participation of Hispanics in the One-Stop Career System. Implementing steps toward the accomplishment of this goal will assure that Hispanics in the workforce or entering the workforce receive the services and educational programs that will improve their employment and retention in the workplace. The Fund for New Jersey, Schumann Fund of New Jersey whom support HDANJ in carrying out its advocacy agenda through proactive research and public awareness on key priority issues affecting the Hispanic community.
